Piano lessons are so much fun. Let’s play!

My goal is for students to have fun and gradually learn more each week. I want my students to become independent musicians, so I emphasize reading music and learning theory that directly relates to their weekly songs/pieces. We make it more fun by reviewing concepts with music games.

I recommend 40-minute weekly lessons for beginners. Progress is much faster because 40 minutes gives us time to work on 3-4 tasks (instead of 1-2 for shorter lessons); 25-minute and 55-minute lessons are also available.

ATTENTION: Due to the limited spaces available, I am currently only taking students who have (or plan to have) a piano with 88 weighted keys for between lesson playing at home. This could be a digital or acoustic piano. Having a good instrument at home will make learning easier, faster, and more fun for piano students.

Younger children benefit from an adult’s help between lessons; a parent/guardian would be required during ALL lessons for students ages 7 and under. Students of all ages benefit from scheduling a “music time” for at-home practice 5-6 days a week (time length depends on student’s age and level).
